I'm personally an advocate of the "same shit different day" state of mind. But, maybe it's because I don't associate good things coming with a new year. I'm trying though, I do have a few goals. One is of course drawing more-- for myself. I still do commissions but that's usually the only time I end up drawing. I really want to improve, so... there's one goal. Another is to get my license. There is a summer job I applied for that I think I have a good chance of getting. It's for teaching, so I hope it ends up being rewarding! Only thing is it leaves me with a ton of time where I'm not really "working", until then.

Another thing is I've started brainstorming again with my friend about a story I've had for a while. He's the literary brains of this whole thing. He's seriously taken my idea and given it life and depth. Hoping to do some art for it, there's a section in my gallery tagged HHL that I've been posting to for years. I feel like giving up most the time but I can't. I'm not a comic artist by any stretch, but if all I can do is the designs, I'm gonna do the damn designs.

I know I'm late to the party, but what are your New Years resolutions?

I am open for commissions. But right now I'm thinking of doing a special of some sort. I don't want to bog myself down a lot and I'm planning on starting/finishing these things by the end of next week.

How's $15-20 for a sketch commission, sound? Single character, digitally drawn. Upward in price would be for more complex characters/clothing. Line quality would be in vain of posts like [link] and [link] , which are cleaned up but not completely redrawn.
